Subject: Durability of the 300TDi diesel engine?

Hi

I'd like to find out more about the 2.5 L 300TDi diesel engine for 
the Discovery and Defenders.  Anyone out there with any experience
with the engine?

- durability
- reliability of the turbo unit
- fuel consumption (I've something like 1,000 kms to a full tank of diesel)
- highway towing ability
