Subject: New non Birmabright!

I am very pleased to announce the arrival of Robert Lindsey Browne on
April 28, 1996 at Newton Wellesley Hospital (near Boston, Ma).

Baby is fine, Father and especially Mother are tired. He was very
fussy as we left the hospital, until I started up the Discovery, and
the burble of the V8 sent him back to sleep.

I think we have another Wan Rover fanatic!

Special thanks to the IVF program at Brigham and Womens, without whose
help, none of this would have happened.

     Sorry for the bandwidth!

     regards
     chris browne

THis is a test:

D90's rule. Unless there are Discos around, then they rule. Unless there
are Range Rovers around, then they rule. Humvees don't matter.

Subject: Internet Rover Withdrawl

Hello all! It seems that the lists have slowed down quite a bit these days.
Probably everyone coming out of hibernation with the weather slowly improving in
the northern hemisphere.

If you happen to be suffering from Internet Rover withdrawl, I have a small
solution. I am pleased to announce that I'm now in the Land Rover business. I
won't waste mailer bandwidth by selling myself, I'll just say that our URL is as
follows: http://www.OverlandMotors.com If you don't have graphical web access,
send me some e-mail and I'll tell you all about it.

I announce this at the great risk of being flamed. I would only like to say
that the only commericial use I'm putting this list to (beyond this beginning
post) is to add a short sig file to my mail....I hope not to annoy anyone
further. If you would like to recieve commercial plugs via e-mail, let me know
and I'll put you on our list.

Regards,
Eric Zipkin

I have heard stories about pads not lasting long on our coil sprung
jalopies -- come to think of it I've replaced my front ones twice in
60,000 miles and the rear ones once. I imagine it's dependent on how much
use the brakes get too, and how much mud, sand or dust they get in them.

Cheers

Has anyone on the list been able to confirm these dates? I need to make
vac. plans A.S.A.P.

Subject: D90 Speedo Lights

Ever since I bought my D90 the speedometer has been hard to read at night. The right
half of the speedo lights up O.K., but the left half doesn't light up at all. I figured
that the bulb on the left side must have burnt out, so I opened up the dash. What I
found appeared to be (1) an empty plug for a bulb on the left side of the speedo and (2)
a wire with a base and bulb hanging loose (the bulb had some sort of blackish goo on
it). The bulb and base would not fit into the plug on the speedo, which looked broken.
I took it to the dealer who said its not broken, there's only supposed to be one light
for the speedo. Is this just a line from a lazy dealer? Is everybody's speedo
unreadable at night even with the dash lights flipped to the max strength? Appreciate
any insights.
