Date: Sat, 1 Jun 1996 11:18:58 -0400 (EDT) From: John Antram <rewt@sover.net> Subject: Smoke, no fire... Hello everyone, I was driving my Discovery home from work ( over the Mtn ) and came across a car from out of state stoped, so I stoped to help. ( They were over heating & out of oil. ) When I returned to the Disco, there was white smoke whisping from under the hood. After letting it clear out, it apears to be one of 2 things: oil on the passenger ( Right ) side exhaust pipe -or- the O2 sensor is melting/shorting. The smoke was almost totally white, and stopped soon after being discovered. I have not seen this when parking at home or any other place; should I suspect an angle/presure dependant oil leak? Is the O2 sensor shorting? Either way, LRNA should cover it - less then a year old even. Thanks for any insights anyone has; the Mtn is a little far from the dealer for a demo. Yes and for an excellent article on e-Mail etiquette in general, check
out Guy Kawasaki's thoughts at
http://www2.claris.com/techinfo/MASTO9520032541.html. Guy drives a Disco
so all Land Rover owners should listen to him - even those who are
unfortunate enough to use Windows machines!

Subject: Disco to Trailer Wiring
Greetings...
This probably a stupid question, and it's probably in the faq, but I
looked and couldn't find it so hold your fire, have sympathy on this
dumb yank and help me along!
My Disco has a 7 pin female trailer light connector, how do I adapt
the flat American 4 pin connector from the trailer to my 7 pin
connector? I tried auto-parts stores for an adaptor, but none were
correct.
Humbly yours
...Larry, Northern Michigan's Only Resident Disco Owner!
