Hi Andy and Tim

Having read your letters to this un-liberal, Liberal Democrat MP. I
thought as the election was so close I would contact him or his sectarey
by phone at West Minster Palace. Quess what, there's no one there untill
after the election. He did not leave a forwarding number either.

They don't stop me that easeraily I rang Turo Town Hall and they
supplied the number and address of his local office. I rang told who I
was the groups I represrnt and the reason for my call eg. Gleam and his
claim of damaged lanes. They have promised to get answers and call me
back tomorrow.

Any letters sent to the House of Commons may take a long while be
answered as there's no one there.

If you want answers the office address in Cornwall is as follows:-
Paul Tyler Esq CBE, Church Stiles, Launceston, Cornwall.

Cheers John

As a newcomer among a group of experts will you let me make a few
observations.

I , like a good few others I suspect, am floundering a bit trying to discover
the correct and best way to help preserve and discover RoWs. I am very
keen and read all posts avidly. I pick up hints on lines of investigation and
methods this way but feel as if Im not sure what Im doing.

My initial feelings are that you are all doing a lot to be reactive to crisis
that occur. A good few are being proactive in repairing and surveying
new routes as well.

Perhaps, and I for one would certainly benifit from this, we could arrange
a list study day (for want of a better word) during the summer. When
people could get together and learn from each other, not just 4x4 but trf,
cla etc.
We can then all start pulling in the same direction without loosing our own
identity.

I for one would be willing to travel for a day/weekend just to meet you all!!

Please dont take offence at the above comments, I think your all doing a
great job.

Any thoughts?
Mike Cattell, West Cheshire.

Hi Andy and Dale

I know where Mike is coming from and think this would be a good idea, I
know that we now have the forums prior to the GLASS and AWDC and your
party Andy. But a full day training section complete with face to face
meetings with other user groups sounds very good to me.

How do we get this off the ground.

Cheers John

Hi All
If any of you can get into the Yorkshire dales for days out green laning
them please do so, and keep a very good record of the routes used time
and dates etc.

why you ask? I have found out that The Yorkshire Dales National Park
is Classifing UCRs on the basis that 1) they have proved Vehicular
rights (will done it is a UCR) 2) That the route is used mainly by
walkers, riders and cycles, and therfore should be classed as a BOAT!!!!
there are no users on the roads in the dales because the council say
(not all UCRs have vehicular rights, so check there is before you use
them.)

Any way if it is UCR then it is looked after ny the NORTH YORKSHIRE
COUNTY COUNCIL... BUT if it is classified as a BOAT guess what the
NATIONAL PARK get their hands on it, they are committed to MANAGE
RESTRICK AND CLOSE if possible because we are a danger to the other
users. I feel like the leader of the miners union a few years ago and
they didnot listen to him!!!!
so please use them or lose them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and keep the
evidence, if you like I will keep a register of use of all the lanes in
the DALES>>>>> we must be seen to be using these lanes to keep them.
Please pass this message on to any other clubs etc.,
I look forward to any comments.
Bye for now
Brian Lewis
