No, No do not remove us from your e-mail address. The e-mail are for a
magazine

magazines in ths building but I did not understand the context of your
e-mails
due to them not being titled "Off Road and Four Wheel Drive " etc. If you

Subject: Parish politics

Tim,
Brian Ashcroft has tried to get his parish to veto the 116 for Hill House
Lane. The Clerk to the parish, a salaried non-elected job I understand,
said at the meeting earlier this week, We had a letter from the CC on about
27/3/97, saying they HAD to make a decision in 5 days on whether to
support the downgrading of this UCR to bridlway. Therefore thay rang
round a few people, including Sir Simon Gourlay, a land owner for half the
length of the lane. The clerk then rang the parish councillors who all
agreed to recommend downgrading. Brian had already writen to the chair
saying he wanted to discuss the topic at the meeting, and had a number of
people there to support him, including our friend Wilf Morris the landowner
for the other half of the lane.

They did not consult Wilf M, but he had already written to the CC saying he
did not want it closed. The CC have said they will not close it as the
landowners have an absolute veto. Bob Lloyd also said he has NOT written
to Parish nor has anyone else giving them any deadline. Brian humiliated
the Parish Councillors at the meeting and forced them to appologise.

His question is, assuming they can produce no letter, and at least the
clerk has lied, and they have acted undemocratically, who can he complain
to and what action can he take to create maximum embarassment and possible
resignations?

Chris
