I would be interested in reading the whole of the inspectors report, it y= ou have it on disk and can email it, but do not spend time scanning it in as= that is so time consuming, and it is of general interest only. Other ways of raising dosh - none of us like spending money just as a subscription or contribution etc, but to get some thing tangible is easie= r to justify. Like perhaps a 10 quid contribution to the fighting fund fro= m those on the list in lieu of any subscription, or selling list of BOATS a= nd UCRs in pathfinder sized chunks. Surrey do it for BOATs for 2-00 for a list of the whole county. With free editorials in the mags plugging it -= in aid of a worthy cause, it could raise a tidy sum. Date: Sat, 7 Jun 1997 09:49:13 -0400 From: Chris Marsden <Byway@compuserve.com> Subject: HA S150 (2) Has anyone ever made a complaint to a magistrates' court under HA80 Secti= on 150 (2)? IE that the HA did fail to remove an obstruction? I have given our HA 14 days to respond over Roman Road Hereford. The shoc= k waves seem to be reverberating round the County, but I await patiently th= e courtesy of a reply after 2 months. Their only response seems to be to request an on-site meeting with the County Archeologist. When I meet, I am going to give him a hard time ove= r the famous Rabbit lane. I will leave him in no doubt who the environment= al vandals are! Date: Sat, 7 Jun 1997 14:30:18 +0100 From: Mike Cattell <Mike@mikecat.demon.co.uk> Subject: LRW and LRO I am getting more and more annoyed with the Landrover magazines and their Green Lane coverage. Recent articles have been illustrated with large photographs of vehicles supposedly enjoying a days laning. They appear to be just ploughing along at the fastest possible speed causing deep rutting. You certainly know when theyve been there!!! In one photo they are driving so fast that the hedges are coated in mud. Surely its time this sort of publicity is removed from the booksheves as it only promotes an attitude which I hope genuine drivers donot approve of. Lets keep mud plugging to the off road centres and our lanes for considerate driving. I have written to the editors today stating my veiw. Andy , any comments? With thousands of years of history unsullied by the slightest trace, not the merest hint, of graft or favour? It would be a different matter in a country with a history of nepotism, kings' favourites, beheadings, religious bigotry, witch hunts, burnings-alive, child murder, slavery, genocide, and shagging footballers. Any more of this sort of talk and I will have to have a quiet word with the Lord Lieutenant. From: TimLARA@aol.com Date: Sat, 7 Jun 1997 18:49:42 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Raising money for LARA fighting fund What we need is a quick decision, yes we can put up x pounds if you really need it. Secondly, we should have a fund, anyway, so by all means think of ways of boosting that fund. Such as selling marking-up services, run-fees, perhaps even a 'testimionial' as footballers have, etc. But please do not let the question Shall we? get confused with the question How?. The good ship Laning has been torpedoed, and might sink. Let's get a lifeboat launched and then worry about who is to row.
