From: Trefor Delve <delve1t@nectech.co.uk> Subject: RE: Voltage regulator output. Date: Fri, 16 Feb 96 10:33:00 GMT Chris, I meant to get backto you the other day when you posted the voltage regulator question. If your voltage regulator is stuffed, you should see the petrol gauge reading too high. Is this the case ? As far as the operation is concerned, Mike's recent post was spot on. If you put an analogue voltage gauge on the regulator output you should see the operation of the duty cycle quite well. BTW, a digital gauge is no real use as by the time the reading has settled, the regulator output changes. Apologies if it's a repeat. Hi all, It's not snowing so I thought I'd send a query on the off chance that others are also waiting for the snow to come. Even in this freezing weather my temperature gauge is reading in the red zone. The engine doesn't seem to be physically boiling, so I assume that the voltage regulator is dodgy. (It's a series 2a with an aftermarket gauge, run by the LR voltage regulator, so I can't look to the fuel gauge for conformation of this theory.) Last time I bought a regualtor it was about 6 GBP, so being a tight fisted student, I looked in my Maplin catalogue and found a chip that will do the job for a lot less. What I need to know is what is the output voltage of the regulator, and what sort of current does the gauge draw? Dear all,
Billy Connelly that man of mirth from Glasgow, once said :-
So there you are on the plane and you put that little belt on, what
for when was the last time you heard the following on the news, a plane with
600 people on board crashed today but they were all alright as they had their
seat belts on.
My father in law flies 747's and he always makes me laugh asking why 1st class
is a the front of the plane, when was the last time a plane backed in to a
mountain.
not really lr related i know, but i will be upgrading my belts to harnesses sonn.
by the way my 2a is ex mod and as such the filler for the tank us under the i
drivers seat.
how easy is it to fit a civilian tank and filler etc ?
