When I boughtt mine I got em to fit a switch inline with teh stop solenoid. I
had the switch under the bonnet since it is locked from outside and canot be
opened by a pull lever from inside.... So a theif, having broken into the car
and found it wont start, would have to break int othe boonet too, separately.

Bloody stupid thig toi do, mounting the switch, since I could just have pulled
off the spade connection to the DPS pump >:-[

Teach me to look more carefully under the bonnet before buying new cars.......

I'm not an expert on such things but have you thought of using one of
those hand held gas burning things these I find are usually adaquate
for removing paint although I don't know if it will damage the
galvanising.

Erm, I won't be able to make it because:

   MY PARENTS ARE VISITING!!!!!!!!!!

Cue much running around like headless Vivians.

They have decided that they don't like my spare hard top and other
useful items cluttering up their garden and making it look like a scrap
yard so they are dumping all the stuff in my garden.

Tempting as it may be to be out they are driving 250 miles and refuse to
come on any other day :-( I don't want to return to find the hard top
inserted through the front window.

So I'll have to cop out (and find somewhere to store a hard top and
other junk) :-(

Well, my Landy has now stopped.

After sorting out a brake problem which I have had for over a year
now, yesterday my gearbox does'nt want to play anymore.

It drove for 500 yards, before a nasty noise came aparent, the noise
stopped if I dipped the clutch , The gearbox, so I reversed into the nearest
parking space and just as I got in I lost reverse gear.

After a brief external inspection I seem to have lost first and reverse
gears with a very nasty noise in all gears. I conclude that something has
fallen off inside the box and it is going to have to be removed.
For someone who is a student, no comments please I have no money and
a gearbox rebuild is not what I need, aspecialy as it is going to be carried
out on the road. Not Good.

	Andy.

I got one from my local (non-Apointed) dealer it cost 7UKP and is solid
bar, I can do my nuts up so tight the garage cant undo them with an air
wrench!..

See John Craddocks or any other dealer.

I love it !!! The clock starts the minute you arrive and I just *love*
telling the smart arses that it took half an hour to undo their wheel
nuts and therefore cost them an extra tenner.

Reminds me of the one who took his motor green laning the day before the
MOT and grinned when he presented it in shit state. They charged him a
test fee and failed it as unexaminable !!! Ho, ho, ho.

It is as sweet as justice !!

PS Steve, your parents called by, looked over my shoulder and saw your
last message on the net about their visit... you may well find the hard
top through your window after all !
