Subject: Insurance

Hi all,

The wonderful insurance people at GA have decided my life was too easy.
They now say that my lovely V6 Lightweight is only worth 1200!! I'd like
to see them buy a V6 Lightweight with a sound chassis for 1200. I feel
insulted.

Or then again, perhaps they have seen it :-)

They will only accept a higher value if I have it valued.

Does anybody know how I get it valued?

They also want an INDEPENDENT engineers report - it seems the one I
wrote myself which has worked for the last 3 years is no good. Once
again I feel insulted. They are implying that I may some way be biassed
to saying my LR is safer than it is to avoid having to pay a higher
premium or fixing it. They are questioning my professional integrity.

Does it matter that my engineering degree is in Electronic & Computer
engineering?

Of course to add to the fun of it all any engineer or valuer is going to
laugh if they see it and still the only things on the chassis are the
engine and axles.

I wondered why it was taking so long to get the policy out.

My bet is a premium increase is the outcome of all this.
