Subject: springs

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to tell if leaf springs are genuine
parts. I have a rebuilt s III which leans a little too much to the nearside
though the springs are obviously >new<.

Cheers

Roger

Could it be that you have a limit of 3500 kg gross for a certain class of
license (we have that limit for a car license here) and that it is their way
of saying "We don`t care how heavy this old piece of junk really is, its
under 3500 kg, so there!"

See the bright side - you can load your LR down with however much it can
bear, and you will still be within the legal limit!
