Subject: positive_earth_landy.

Dear All,

I'am looking to convert my 69 IIa 88in to negative earth,

At present it works very well even with the current dynamo, but being
positive earth it increses the rusting process, hence the want to change to
negative earth. I am sure I saw a L/R Owner mag. had done a feature on this
in there workshop but going through all the issues I cannot find it,

Does anybody know which issues it was in?

I fairly sure that all it really intails is swapping the battery and coil
around and then flashing the dynamo, but I want to be correct, I dont like fires.

	Cheers.

		Andy.

Hi All

Having got an example of most of the * Real * Rovers, i.e. S1 80in, S2
88in, S3 88in Trialler (under construction), RR, SD1, P6, P5, P4 and P3
ordered, the only real gap was a forward control. I had not given this
any real thought as I know very little about them. This afternoon, while
chasing bits for one of the saloons I was told of the whereabouts of a
fc in a barn. An immediate diversion on the way home resulted in a brief
glimpse, some sketchy details and the fact the owner was away for the
weekend.

I have arranged another visit in the near future, but I would welcome
thoughts comments etc. The vehicle is a 1968 F reg fc with a flat bed
(wooden) rear body. It looks tidy from outside the barn (seen from the
back), the chassis requires some welding but quote not too bad, it runs
well and was driven into the barn 12 years ago. It has been started
infrequently since, is covered in dust and the asking price is believed
to be 400 pounds.

The more I have thought about it this evening, the more keen on the idea
I am but not knowing what to look for I need advice! What do I look for,
what parts are likely to be hard/impossible to replace so I must make
sure are there, is theasking price reasonable (ish) etc etc.

Any help/advice/info will be gratefully received.
