Anyone got a power steering fluid reservoir kicking around they'd like to
part company with ? (For a reasonable fee of course)

E-mail me direct if you can help.

Ah... I may be mistaken, I habe now seen a different type of blue mast on
the side of a main road, with like two cameras pointing in opposite
directions, are these what you mean?...

The thing I saw was only 4-5 ft high, straight pole.

This other one is 15ft high, with camera lookuing bits
ect..

Why cant you have CLID enabled?... What do they say,

Do you live in the back of beyond of what?... 99% BT exchanges have CLID
these days.
Or have you a Non BT line?... Take it up with your Comm supplier.

If its BT if you get nowhere, ask to speak to their manager, and dont take
NO for an answer (Unless you exchange does not have CLID - in which case
there is nothing they can do)

I would have thought it is a fairly simple process... find out why you cant
have it on your outgoing calls.

It may be different on incoming calls if you have the modern version of a
party line, But outgoing shouldnt be a problem.

Best of luck

Abolutely, without a crumple zone, a lot of the forces are transferred to
the occupants in the vehicle.
ie our safety cell is the solid chassis, but it does not give much, hence
the forces get to the people, instead of being absorbed in the crumple
zones.

Cheers to everybody who gave answers to my GPS question. I have been
informed that there is a Comp Safari being held at Mereworth woods (near
Tunbridge Wells, Kent) on the 21? ish of Feb. Anybody going. Has anybody got
a Garmin GPS 12XL or 12CX, these two models are currently top of my list to
consider. I am thinking of combining what ever I get with a Lowe external
antenna. Last question can anybody suggest a supplier in the South East or
London?
Best regards and thanks
Jon

Subject: Theories anyone??
Driving in to work yesterday morning, the 88 was dragging badly to
the right.I ahd a quick look round, but could see nothing obviously
wrong. At lunchtime it was still the same, with stiff steering to boot.
After lunch,a further examination revealed a distinctly low pressure
front O/S tyre,which I reinflated.I took it to a local tyre place,
thinking (as you do) I had a puncture. They took the tube out, pumped
it up.Nothing.Not a bubble. They looked at the tyre and could find
nothing wrong. This morning its still OK.So what went wrong? The tyre
is a Bronco 205R16 AT with a tube, also 205R16 ie the proper tube
for radials.I could have understood the deflation had I not had the
tube in,afer all bead to rim seals occasionally do fail, but hardly
with a tube present.Anyone got any theories?
Cheers
Mike Rooth
I once had a series of flats (well 2 anyway) which were quite mysterious,
the tyres went down fairly quickly but there was no hole in the tube.

What it turned out to be was a very very small hole in the tube but the
bead had sealed on the rim and the valve was tight in the hole so the tubed
tyre was acting 'tubeless'. When it leaked enough to free the valve stem
it went down quite quickly, but cos they were looking for a 'real hole'
they didn't find the 'pin prick'. It was the third flat befor I made them
look harder!

'tis too (I have the Iveco, but the principle is the same), you need a five
speed gearbox for a start.... then you need a five speed tunnel, which means
you need a later seat box....
THEN you need to cut the engine mounts off and reweld them.........

Best Cheers
