Hi All,

[snip]
Hmmm...Its a Land Rover.... ie another job for the Hi-Lift Jack.

[snip]

Reminds me I'm after a high-lift jack Anyone with a spare there looking =
to pass on for a few pennies?

One other thing, thanks to all those who replied to my fog light dilemma =
the other week, just to let you know all went well until I switched the =
bloody thing on! I checked and double checked everything before I =
connected the switch up and bugger me if the thing didn't blow up! The =
cab filled with dense smoke, I leapt for my life and ran, then turned =
back an grabbed the dog who was trying to scrape her way out of the =
passenger window. After a change of pants, and a shot of whiskey to =
steady the nerves I removed everything, well, what was left of the new =
wiring and switch anyway. Keith, the near brother in law who's a =
sparky, came and checked the electric's over for me reckons the switch =
was faulty so we went back to the auto shop and swapped it for another. =
We get home only to find out that this one is also faulty, something =
about a dead short across the live and earth??? Anyway, I reckon he's =
becoming a convert as he's coming over Easter weekend and wants to do =
some work on the landy for me, perhaps its the thought of getting one of =
those Freeloaders as a company motor !-)

Have a Good Easter all!!

I need to do some thing about my transfer box as it is haemorrhaging =
EP90 from the front output shaft; there is about 0.5 mm (20 thou) play =
in the output flange. As I see it I have three possible solutions:
1. Secondhand transfer box (quick, allows me to rebuild at leasure [I =
have the ability, but not the time at the moment], but carries the risk =
of buying a pup)
2. exchange transfer box (quick, but pricey and not very satisfying!)
3. attempt to do the fix in a weekend(Time available between me stopping =
being incredibly busy with finals [ I'm a 4th year mech. eng. student] =
and needing to tow my brother's boat 450 miles to the national =
championships.).( probably impossible and likely to cost me my sanity)

Any suggestions, moral support, money and propositions(indecent or =
otherwise..)
gratefully received,

ta, David Bradshaw

Could the speedo/speedo head/speedo cable be at fault. If the odometer
isn't going around as fast might that give a false reading?

Have there been any bright lights in the sky lately, does your watch
inexplicably lose time? Seen any Men In Black? Spooky!

You never know, might be down to that wonder grease. You do release
you've just committed the majority of the Digest to getting the grease
gun out over the Bank Holiday. A 25% increase in fuel economy, heaven.

Possibly a beneficial side effect to the millenium bug?

Hi Colin,I had a similar problem on my 109" with reservoir not going
down. It turned out to be a leak in the pipe to the oil pressure guage.
Could this occur on a 110" ?
