Why not? I have just put a new cam/followers/rockers/shafts/oil pump in mine and the whole job was only half a day. Though to be honest the cam and followers that I took out seemed OK (!) but the general advice for low oil pressure was to do the lot. I also found a top tip (that you probably all already know) for flushing the carbon out of the engine, use hydraulic oil as a flushing oil at each oil change. After three applications the inside of the engine was as clean as a whistle! Only jobs left now are copious amounts of welding and an oil seal on the rear offside wheel. From: "Leonard Tanti Bellotti" <ltb@shireburn.com> Date: Mon, 5 Apr 1999 11:51:38 +0200 Subject: Sailsbury diff problems I would first check if the worn splines you are feeling are the ones at the diff end of the shafts or maybe and more probable the ones on the driving flange at the wheel end of the shafts ( been there, done that) otherwise as Frank said a Salisbury is quite a hefty thing to break . Re red stuff in your 90 I assume it came from the gearbox which would make it Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). This is exactly what the workshop manual recommends for my 1989 110" ( 5 speed with reverse to the left of first gear) . On the other hand I believe that the transfer case takes EP90 gear oil but I would refer to a manual for ease of mind and pocket. Did anyone else see Nancherrow last night? SWMBO made me watch it, and
just as I was dozing off, lo and behold, a very pretty Tickford
station wagon! The thing was set in 1947...oops, but there was alot of
that station wagon in it which cheered me up no end :)

This is a 1980 Rangie... I found the secret was to stick it down with silicon sealant. That was the only way I could have the peace of mind that it hadn't moved! A local engineering shop would be the best place for the Allen Bolts - there is nothing special about them - you'll probably be able to get 20 Stainless ones for under a fiver.
