I've repainted parts of the body work on my Rover. According to the book I
read, and followed, you need a special etching primer, after that it seems
to be like any other paint job. In fact, I used the primer on some panels,
but not on somne that I didn't strip all the way back to the Aluminium.
The results seem to be the same (disclaimer: all done by brush, so I can't
vouch for what happens with spray painting).
