I have this experience strangely enough only on very hot days where I have to sit and wait in my Landie until another car pulls in behind me or take alternative measures. I think the problem is that the induction pickup is less sensitive on hot days and because of the "larger" diameter wheels and higher ground clearance the loop doesn't register the vehicle. Any ideas or similar experiences? AND will I have a case if I have to defend myself in court for jumping a red light?? I have a similar problem in parking garages where the machines that = issue the tickets are automatically activated. The booms also sometimes = stay open after I have gone through. Because of the many vehicle hijacks that happens at traffic lights, I = believe that it should be legalised to "jump" a red light after you have = come to a complete standstill and checked that it is safe to cross. It = is legal in many other countries. I certainly do it late at night in = some areas.
