The Majordomo mail server here provides access to number of targeted special interest mailing lists, (mostly about Land Rover vehicles).
All of these lists are special interest lists, and are subscribed to by interested parties, and these lists are provided for said parties to communicate on the relavent topics.
The official policy of this site is not to carry unsolicited electronic mail, which, in the given context of the lists, is any mail not directly related to the main topic of the list, or mail related to activities and persons subscribed to the lists while involved in activities dealing with the topic of the lists.
There is no charge members for joining the mailing lists, but we do ask that they behave in a civilised manner, and keep the discussion on topic. Failure to do so is grounds for removal from the distribution list, and being blocked from joining or sending mail to the lists.
Advertising of a personal nature, which is related to the topic of the list (such as an advertisement one might find in printed classified ads) for excess parts or used vehicles is permitted in moderation, which is to say if you've got something, and wish to sell it, you may post to the list, but we do ask that you do this in moderation, and be reasonable about it. We'll recommend that if you leave a few days (for everyone to pick up and read their mail), and if no one responds to your for-sale note, then either no one is interested, or no one is interested at your price.
Established rates for commercial advertising.
All unsolicited offers, and advertisements fall into this category, whether targeted or not. For advertisements posted without PRIOR PAYMENT AND APPROVAL IN WRITING , there will be additional processing fees.

To receive approval, a printed copy of the text of the message must be presented in its entirety to the advertising manager, and payment in full of registration fee and distribution fees must be recieved in US Funds five business days prior to the date of the mailing. Failure to submit payment in-full, either with a cashiers check, cash or postal money order on time, will result approval being revoked.
Only approvals granted in writing are offical.
Example: 4000 Byte message, sent to a list with 700 people, with approval 14 days ahead of time, and payment 5 business days ahead of time:
Registration Fee: $ 25.00
First 1024 bytes
delivered to 700 users: $350.00
Subsequent 3082 bytes: $609.00
Total fee for mailing: $984.00In this example, were prior approval not secured, the Registration fee would be $450.,
making the total US $1409.00.
Some of the lists have more members, some have less.
